Hervey Bay - Day 6

The park was unusually busy this morning with people packing up & leaving & some moving sites!  We weren’t sure if they were moving camp because of the weather coming or just sticking to their itineraries!   The wind started mid morning & a few awnings started flapping 🤨 heard a huge bang & the motor home behind us awning flipped over on his roof & broke (took 5 men to get it down 😩) then looked over & our neighbours (they were out somewhere) awning started to perform as well so a few of us took that down as well.    Tony & I thought we would take ours down (although wind wasn’t suppose to come till Friday) just in case 😳

The park looked almost empty around us by 10 am & vans are strictly not allowed to book in until 12 😳 by the afternoon it was full again with not 1 site available!

We have this unusual van/truck in the park - it is so high I don’t know how they get in the drivers seat or in the van 😳 it is called “Stampeding Turtle” 🐢

We have packed everything away now in case the rain comes early!   Thursday expecting 30ml & Friday 50ml - will be interesting to see if that much actually comes but we are reasonable protected here (hopefully)

Visited the hairdresser today for shampoo & blow-dry - feel like a new woman again🙎‍♀️ She did a great job!

Bit of read this afternoon - a little cool for happy hour outside tonight but had a lovely wok meal which Tony managed to cook before the rain came 💦
