Tullabudgera

Ready by 9 to leave Maroochydore after Dean having trouble with his awning & Tony with the tow ball!   It was only a 2 1/2 hour drive but driving on the motorway was very busy & had to concentrate where all the exits were.

Huge bridge on the Gateway Motorway - I’m always fascinated each time I see this bridge!

Finally arrived at Tullebudgera after our GPS took us through a few steep, narrow,  interesting back streets.

When we got to our site there was a car parked where our caravan was meant to be an the owners were nowhere to be seen.   He had left the keys in the car with the window down.   All our neighbours saw him do this and couldn’t understand why he had left the car there.  We had to ring the park owners who came over & said the car wasn’t registered in the caravan park 😵‍💫.  They were going to move it when the owner came along & was very rude to all of us & said he would move it shortly.   Then he tried to pick a fight with Tony 😵‍💫 eventually moved the car to a spot where we still couldn’t back our van in so had to ask him again to move it while we backed in.   It was quite stressful & this is quite out of the ordinary for caravaners to be like this.     He hasn’t spoken to us since 😵‍💫

We settled in to our camp & sat near the river to have our lunch - our views are beautiful here for the next 3 days.

After lunch we all went for a stroll along the river to look at the surf.

Deans cousin Roger & wife Lynn are staying in a cabin here so joined them for a few champagnes & wine sitting on their balcony watching all the families on the river.  It was quite relaxing.

Walked over to the Surf Club for tea tonight & back to van for a coffee ☕️
