Moved camp today - an early start at 8.30am 😵💫 we had a 4 hour drive today so weren’t expected to arrive until after lunch. We travelled a fair way along the M1 Motorway (Pacific Highway) today. It is 2 lanes of traffic most of the way & on one occasion we passed a caravan & they started flashing their lights at us! I checked through the mirrors but couldn’t see anything was wrong so continued on our way! First stop was for coffee at a fuel stop in Ballina - while I was in getting the coffees Tony went to adjust one of our towing mirrors to discover it had fallen off - must have flown passed the van we overtook 😵💫. We will borrow one of Dean’s spare mirrors for the trip home.
Lunch stop next to get fuel in a little town called Macksville. Beautiful lawns at the back of the fuel stop so made lunch in our vans & continued for another 17 km to Scott’s Head.
Arrived at Scott’s Head, set up camp & had a coffee together ☕️ Walked over to the surf beach for a look & then back for a happy hour 🥂
Dinner at our place tonight (all shared the cooking) Kiev’s on the BBQ, mash, pumpkin & peas - just what we all needed as we have been out for dinner a few times. Face timed Andy & Jenny to see how they were going! It was a little cool tonight but our gas heater & Nana rugs kept us warm 🔥
