The Rabbit Trap Hotel

Quick stop for fuel ($227 L) & coffee from the cafe & on our way again.    All was well until our GPS took us on 70km of unexpected dirt & mud!

NOT HAPPY JAN!!! Not too bad in parts, rough in others & we were sliding in the mud 😡‍πŸ’«πŸ™ˆ & then hit a huge pot hole full of muddy water which covered the car & van with thick mud 😳

We eventually hit the bitumen & then Albert, & the Rabbit Trap Hotel ($15 for power & water - not bad).  We were looking forward to getting to our destination for a shower & hair wash, then over to the pub for a meal.   Unfortunately our car & van are filthy after only 6 days on the road!    We were camped opposite the pub & near the cabins.

Pub was quirky & was quite packed as it was a Friday might.  We headed back to van for coffee & relax after our meal but the noise from the hotel was quite loud as the young kids drank on the verandah.  Eventually the pub closed & thought it would get quieter but unbeknown to us there were young kids in the cabins & lots had swags under their tray tops in their cars.    Next they had a bonfire & loud music along with yelling & carrying on.   We realised by 1.30am they were going to party all night so decided to leave 😡‍πŸ’«πŸ˜³  we took power cord off, water, hoses & packed up in the freezing cold & took off.   We ended up in a side street under a street lamp where it was a lot quieter but it took me a fair while to relax!   We got a few hours sleep & left Albert at 7 am.
