Inverell

 No fire last night as it was raining ☔️ Curry & rice in the van & the last of our pudding!   It rained all night & so didn’t know what to expect when we woke.   Woke to a beautiful sunny day but it didn’t last 😳 

Lucky we were mainly on lawn & a slab so wasn’t too bad but we had a dirt road to exit on.   Didn’t rain while we packed up luckily.   The road out already had 5 vans go over it so was quite muddy & a little slippery - a slow trip out (only 5 km) 😉

It rained all day, a stop at Narrabri at Woolies for stocking up on food (& yes it rained there), quick chat to Rochelle & on our way.   Slow trip today as it was raining, foggy & lots of flood ways (luckily not a lot of water in them yet) & through mountains!   

Lunch stop at Bingara, fuel stop ($238 L) & on our way again.   Decided to head straight to Inverell instead of Lake Copeton as we thought it would be too wet & boggy.   Rang a park in Inverell (no vacancies) & 2nd caravan park had 1 site left so we took it.   Settled in while it wasn’t raining & then it started again ☔️

We were recommended Sporties Bar for a meal which is only 2 mins away, but because it was teaming we drove 😂 glad we did as it only stopped raining about an hour after we got home!    Nice meal & no dishes 🤗
