No rain this morning & strong winds predicted also haven’t come but had a lazy morning anyway - by 11.30 the rain started & gradually got heavy 💦 we decided to go for a drive to Burrum Heads (about 30 km away) to have a look & grab some lunch. Nikki has a friend who has a shack there!
Weather when we left this morning ☔️
It rained all the way to Burrum Heads but by the time we arrived it had stopped. Had a lovely drive around checking out the caravan parks & the town. Stopped at the local Fish & Chip shop & bought our lunch. We sat in the car having our lunch overlooking the bay which was quite picturesque with quite a few yachts & boats moored in the Bay! (It reminded me of when we use to take the kids to Victor Harbour & have chips in the car when the weather wasn’t good 🤣)

On our way home we called into a lovely town called Toogoom & found a Cafe for a coffee ☕️ Was lovely spot to stop - we also bought a vanilla slice to share for dessert tonight - not having much for dinner as too full from lunch 😉
Rained a little on the way home but by 4.30 the rain had stopped - we are hoping it has gone as we pack up tomorrow & head to Elliott Head for 4 nights! The weather is looking good but I will miss the pounding of the tide here at Hervey Bay!
