Goomerri Caravan & Bush Camp

Left Millmerran around 9 am so an easy morning!  Roads were similar to yesterday - had to watch for potholes, a few rough spots & some flooding 😬 luckily for us we could watch & follow a car through the flood water to see how deep it was πŸ₯Ί was deep enough but not anything to worry about.

First stop was Bell - toilet & coffee stop ☕️

This general store had all sorts in it 😜

We reached Goomerri township & were pulled over for a breath test - always feels good when you know you haven’t had a drink at 1 pm - Tony passed with flying colours πŸ˜€

We missed the turn off into our next camp so had to continue on till we found a safe place to turn.  We drove through the gates & travelled along 2 km of dirt with cattle & animals scattered around but very picturesque!   Arrived to beautiful grassed area  with lots of vans & some tents.

Found our camp spot - just had to drive around till we found a place with a fire pit & set up camp πŸ˜€.  Enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the sun ☀️ spoke to Jude to see how they were travelling & Rochelle (Thor not well today) 😒

Thor - where is Pa?

The happy hour bell rang for campers to bring their drinks over to the camp fire πŸ”₯we had all different varieties of damper from scones, jam & cream to date & cinnamon damper.   The owner told some very funny jokes & poems around the fire.

Headed back to the van to have leftovers - too late for our own fire so sitting in the van with Nana rugs on 😜

Beautiful sunset just before we went back to the van 😍

2 of the camp ovens he had going on a separate fire πŸ”₯
